Graduation Stole

The graduation stole dates back to the English tradition and usually resembles the one traditionally worn by catholic priests and Anglican priests. The stole, also referred as a sash, is a piece of fabric that is worn by graduates over the graduation gowns during graduation ceremonies. The stole normally holds various meanings for example membership in organizations such as the Greek foundations, sorority and fraternity, cultural and ethnic legacy or school accomplishments.
Initially, catholic priests wore stoles. However, since the England church was part of English education, the graduation stole
a fabric spray protector, white paper towels and stain erasers. It should be cleaned as soon as possible, for it’s easier. The stole should not be soaked in water. The paper towels should be used to blot a stain eraser onto the stain. Stains should easily come off but if the stains are stubborn, one can place the stole in cooled water.

When in water, a person has to rub it gently for silk weakens in water. The stole should never be wrung. If the stains do not come of at this point, dry cleaners are a good alternative and caution should be observed when using chemicals because they can remove the original stole color. The stole should be dried by placing it in a soft towel overnight. This will soak in most of the water. A graduation stole can be found online with instructions on how to clean it.
